Derrick Schrader began his dance training in Minnesota, and since then developed his voice as a choreographer worldwide. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California, where he is continuing his career in dance education, direction, and visual arts.
Incorporating his musical upbringing as a pianist and fusing his extensive training in all genres of dance, his classes are always diverse and unique.
Derrick’s work has been performed amongst artists, dancer, and entertainers around the globe appearing on ESPN, LOGO, MTV, the Disney Channel, Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” and Rupauls Drag Race. He has also worked alongside Paula Abdul, Carmen Electra, Todrick Hall, Lindsay Lohan, Kenny Ortega, tap legend Gregory Hines, and producer Steven Spielberg.
His choreography has received top honors at the Industry Dance Awards. Including 11 nominations for “Best Jazz” and was awarded “Favorite Convention Teacher Of The Year”.
Derrick Schrader is currently creating one of a kind dance experiences while choreographing and directing music videos for up and coming pop artists.
