JOE HALL

National Tour Director

Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Joe began dancing at age nine, and moved to Los Angeles at 18 to train as an Apprentice at The Performing Arts Center. While there, he was chosen to dance in a Fiona Apple Music video and as Drake Bell’s dance double in the Nickelodeon show “Drake and Josh”. After completing The PAC scholarship program, he was grateful to work on a Smithfield Ham commercial, a Cisco webisode and the Nickelodeon show “iCarly”.

Joe was then hired to dance in the original cast of The Donny and Marie Show at The Flamingo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. After returning to Los Angeles, he was excited to work in a Cee-Lo Green music video, as well as Television shows Glee, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Superstore, Veep, 90210, Bunheads, among others. He was also on the skeleton crew for the Film, Semi-Pro.

One of Joe’s more unique work experiences came in 2019, when he was selected to perform at the Diriyah Gate Project ground breaking ceremony in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the King and Crown Prince.

His other live theatre experiences include Caleb in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Snow King in multiple productions of The Nutcracker, An Audience With Donny and Marie in London, England, the Miss California Pageant as well as various industrials and corporate shows. Joe has also performed and assisted in stage managing for many Professional Dancers’ Society events and the original American Choreography Awards.

Perhaps his favorite on screen appearance was not a dance job, but as a contestant with his mother on Wheel Of Fortune. If you have the curiosity to know how they did…ask him in person!

Starting with Tremaine in 2007, Joe currently works in our Los Angeles office and also travels to each tour city sharing the title, National Tour Director, with his friend and long time coworker Brandi Stafford. His favorite part of the conventions is interacting with the Teachers, Studio Owners, Dancers and Dance Families, and seeing the priceless expressions on the dancers’ faces at each event; whether it be for their first Tremaine experience, or returning to the floor or stage for another incredible convention and/or competition. Joe has learned so much from everyone at Tremaine and is a firm believer in Mr. Joe Tremaine’s famous mottos “Dance Training is Life Training,” and “You Have To Earn It!”

In addition to his role with Tremaine, he is also a Certified Pilates instructor, teaching people of all ages. He was the resident Pilates Instructor for 5 sessions of The Debbie Reynolds Studio Scholarship Program and currently teaches group, private and semi-private apparatus classes at Grace Anatomy Pilates Studio in Studio City, CA.

He would like to thank Tommy Peel and Marissa Rustowicz for introducing him to the Tremaine Family years ago, and of course Joe Tremaine and Terry Lindholm for the continued opportunities at Tremaine Dance.
