MISSION STATEMENT

To educate and empower dancers in the development of their craft through the Tremaine legacy of high-caliber artistic training in a positive and professional learning environment that inspires growth both as artists and as human beings

We accomplish our mission through the following benefits of the program:

1.   TRAINING:
   Providing Quality Dance Instruction in support of your home studio training from our Faculty of Professional Dancers, Choreographers and Educators. Class schedules will be designed by the director and tailored with careful consideration to enhance the goals of your training.

2.   COMMUNICATION:
   Encouraging good communication skills – Communication is Key!

3.   LEADERSHIP:
   Nurturing the Values and Expectations associated with being an Assistant, Role Model and Leader. TPC members may be invited to demonstrate or assist ON STAGE, at the Faculty’s discretion. Your responsibility to represent TPC continues off stage as well as when not assisting. You are expected to maintain high focus, energy, and professionalism as role models visible to all attendees.

4. PROFESSIONALISM:
   Sharing the traits and characteristics through industry knowledge and experience to help dancers succeed in the dance business or ANY business they may pursue.

5. PERFORMING:
   Performance opportunities in the Faculty Show and National Finals Gala is a privilege, not a guarantee. Selection is determined by the Program Director based on preparedness.

6. COMMITMENT:
   Encouraging, supporting and honoring your commitment to your family, studio and yourself.

COMPANY GUIDELINES

TPC AGE DIVISIONS

The Tremaine Performance Company consists of three age divisions

• TEEN – ages 12-14
• SENIOR – ages 15-17 – still in high school
• PRE-PROFESSIONAL – ages 18-21 – out of high school
• TREMAINE DANCERS OF THE YEAR (DOTY’s)

Each division of the company has different guidelines and expectations. Please see below for details.
Note: All ages are as of January 1st to match the convention, competition age.

TPC ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

TEEN | Convention Attendance | Must attend a minimum of 5 cities yearly
– 4 during the Winter Tour*
– 1 during the Summer Tour
– Maximum attendance of 10 cities during the Winter Tour
– No maximum for the Summer Tour

SENIOR | Convention Attendance | Must attend a minimum of 5 cities yearly
– 4 during the Winter Tour*
– 1 during the Summer Tour
– Maximum attendance of 10 cities during the Winter Tour
– No maximum for the Summer Tour

PRE-PRO | Convention Attendance | Must attend a minimum of 4 cities yearly
– 3 during the Winter Tour*
– 1 during the Summer Tour
Pre-Professional Members may have the opportunity to work behind the scenes with our administrative team and backstage crew during the event.

DOTYs
Do not have any event requirements, but we encourage you to attend as many as you can to get the full experience out of your title.  

*Note: You must attend one city prior to the December break or you may be dismissed from the company at the Director’s sole discretion, excluding DOTYs.

FEES

COMPETITION

Members of the Tremaine Performance Company may NOT compete a solo at a Tremaine Semi Finals, Summer Dance or National Finals Competition. However, you MAY compete with your studio in all OTHER categories.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are a TPC member and competing with your home studio, your priority is to your home studio (Remember: This builds teamwork and comradery). Therefore, in those cities, you are NOT able to assist classes. You may still attend rehearsals and have the opportunity to perform in the Faculty Show. These cities WILL count toward your attendance requirements for the season.

HOME STUDIO

STUDIO TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Members are required to take a certain number of classes weekly to go along with the traveling, training and performance company requirements.

TEEN:

• 2 or more Ballet classes taken per week at home studio
• 2 or more Jazz classes taken per week at home studio
• 1 or more elective classes taken per week – dancer’s choice
• Attend all required rehearsals and studio commitments

SENIOR:

• 3 or more Ballet classes taken per week at home studio
• 2 or more Jazz classes taken per week at home studio
• 2 or more elective classes taken per week – dancer’s choice
• Attend all required rehearsals and studio commitments

PRE-PRO:
Their requirements are in accordance with their current training program or college curriculum.

DOTYs:
We ask that you adhere to the TEEN at home studio training classes for your minimums.

ELIGIBILITY

DANCERS ACCEPTED INTO THE COMPANY MUST AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Receive a Teacher recommendation
• Maintain consistent training at their home studio and attend required technique classes
• Honor and Prioritize all studio commitments and contracts FIRST, before TPC
• Attend a required number of Tremaine events
• Purchase the required uniform and costumes for the season
• Understand they are NOT able to compete a solo in a Tremaine competition
• Understand that assisting ON STAGE is not guaranteed
• Understand that performing in the faculty show is not guaranteed
• Uphold the Tremaine Performance Company Code of Conduct & Procedures.

CODE OF CONDUCT

All TPC members (and their parents/chaperones/guardians) are required to adhere to all rules and guidelines as set forth in the Company “Code of Conduct”. Failure to abide by all rules and guidelines may result in dismissal from the Company. The Code of Conduct will be sent to members upon acceptance and will need to be read and acknowledged via signature to participate in the Company. Teen and Senior Program Participants are required to have at least one (1) chaperone age 21 or older with them while attending a city during the Tour. Each Program Participant must register the chaperone accompanying them by emailing TPC@TremaineDance.com prior to arriving in that City.

PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended you complete the Audition Form prior to arriving for the audition. The Date and Time for your audition will be confirmed 1 week prior to the event via the email address you share on your audition form.
