Once Registered and Paid in Full, any dancer is automatically eligible to audition for D.O.T.Y.
There is NO extra fee required.

Even if your studio, nor the other dancers in your qualifying routine, are not able to attend the Tremaine National Finals, you can still audition to become a D.O.T.Y.

• Click the Non-Competing D.O.T.Y. Audition Registration link below, complete the form & follow the instructions to submit
• Your individual qualifying solo performance for the D.O.T.Y. judges will take place on July 6, Time TBA. This IS NOT part of any competition. It merely takes the place of your N.F. competition entry so the judges get to see you perform.
Once you have Registered for the Convention, Submitted the Non-Competing D.O.T.Y. Registration with Full Payment and Performed your Qualifying Solo, you will be eligible to audition for D.O.T.Y. on the First Day of the Convention.

Please Note: These ages differ from the Tremaine Convention Scholarship auditions
*MINI STUDENTS: Our Mini Program is designed to be a stepping stone for young dancers to prepare for the Junior ballroom level. With this in mind, Mini Dancers will not be eligible to audition for scholarships, including Dancers of the Year, until they are registered in the Junior ballroom.
Similar to our regular Scholarship Auditions:
• Ballet Combo Taught, Cuts Made
• Jazz Combo Taught, Cuts Made
Cuts will continue to be made until only Finalists remain in each age division
No Observers nor Teachers Allowed
FINALISTS
• Will be given a Finalist Form to fill out, which includes their Name, Studio, National Finals Routines, etc.
• Photo will be taken and attached to their Finalist Form, which assists in locating them in classes & group competition numbers
• Will be given a colored ribbon to be worn at ALL TIMES except when competing:
– Class Attendance, General Conduct & Performance will be monitored & considered
– D.O.T.Y. Gala Routine Rehearsal Conduct will also be monitored & considered
• D.O.T.Y. Judging Panel will conduct personal interviews with all Finalists in small groups
• Finalists will be brought in to these Interviews from their D.O.T.Y. Finalists Gala Performance rehearsals
• No Observers Allowed during Rehearsals nor Interviews
• The D.O.T.Y. Judging Panel watches their National Finals Performance(s) during the N.F. Competition, or their Non-Competing D.O.T.Y. Solo Performance
• Anyone wanting to attend the Gala Banquet & Show must purchase a Gala Ticket in advance, as we could sell out. (See Summer Orlando “Nationals” Pricing) *D.O.T.Y. Finalists are not required to have a Gala Ticket for title consideration but would need one in order to attend the Gala in the audience.
• No one admitted to Gala Banquet & Show without a Gala Ticket – No Exceptions
• Any D.O.T.Y. Finalists without a Gala Ticket will be given a specific call time to be in the dressing room and ready to go on stage for their D.O.T.Y. Finalists Gala Performance.
