BRANDI STAFFORD

National Tour Director

Originally from St. Amant, Louisiana, Brandi began dancing at three years old and went on to study with several studios across the state. Her training included master teachers such as Frank Hatchett, Michael Quinn, Susan QuinnKaren Zissoff and Joe Tremaine. This early training led to her winning First Runner up for Jr. Miss Dance of Louisiana at age 12. Then during high school she was the choreographer for her school’s dance team for three years, performed with the Baton Rouge Ballet Company and studied acting with The Playmakers of Baton Rouge. After graduating, she went on to attend Louisiana State University. However, after auditioning and being accepted as a Scholarship Student at Tremaine Dance Center in Los Angeles, Brandi packed her bags and moved to California.

During her scholarship term, she performed at Prince’s Glam Slam Club in L.A. as well as the first ever NoHo Arts Festival and trained and worked with such notable choreographers as Bill BohlLiz ImperioMarguerite DerricksWade RobsonMichael Rooney and Lester Wilson. She pursued her dance career in Los Angeles for about three years and acted in the independent film “Unity Bridge.” But she missed her family and the pull of home called her back to Louisiana. Brandi currently lives in South Louisiana where she is a Dance Educator, Choreographer and Nationwide Dance Competition Judge.

She currently teaches regularly for two dance studios near her home and teaches and choreographs for National UDA ChampionsAscension Catholic High School, who, with Brandi’s choreography and training, have ranked in the top three for the past few years. In addition, she is a freelance choreographer whose routines consistently take top honors at national competitions. Some of her current students are national dance title holders and past students continue on to be Laker GirlsDallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and may be seen on the MTV Video Music Awards and on Broadway.

In addition to her busy teaching and choreography schedule, Brandi began touring with Tremaine Dance Conventions in 1994 as part of our administrative team and was promoted to Assistant Director in 2000. She has worked almost every administrative position on the tour and we can’t imagine going on the road without her as part of our convention team.
