Originally from Shawnee, KS, Katelyn began dancing at three years old and working professionally at 14 in various local venues including Starlight Theater and The KC Symphony. She is a cum laude graduate of Oklahoma City University with a BPA in Dance Performance. While at OCU, she was a member of The American Spirit Dance Company, under the direction of Jo Rowan. She had the pleasure of not only performing with The American Spirit Dance Company nationally, but also representing The ASDC internationally on their Taiwan Tour: “Friendship Through Dance”.
Katelyn has worked for Cedar Fair Entertainment Company through both RWS Entertainment and Fancy Pants Productions. Most recently, she enjoyed being a dancer in the Charlie Brown Show during the inaugural season of Winterfest at World’s of Fun.
Katelyn has travelled the world multiple times over during her nine years spent dancing at sea, as well as collaborated with ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars At Sea” while working for Stiletto Entertainment and Holland America Line. She was not only a cast member, but held the positions of Dance Captain and Company Manager for multiple contracts.
She has also been a member of Dance Master’s of America for over 10 years. Currently, she teaches and choreographs around the Kansas City area and judges for competitions when her schedule allows. She loves being a part of the Tremaine family because she loves being immersed in a dance environment and getting to work with dancers to help them grow and achieve their goals.
