24 Sep NATIONAL DANCE DAY WAS A HIT!! – WITH OUR VERY OWN TONY BELLISSIMO!
The American Dance Movement, formerly Dizzy Feet Foundation, held their National Dance Day event this past Saturday, September 21. It was celebrated with festivities on both coasts — in Washington, D.C. at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Arts — and also in Orange County, CA at the Segerstrom Performing Arts Center.
Tremaine’s own Tony Bellissimo was an engaging host for the prominent California event, which featured a full day of community and professional performances. Tony held a commanding presence and successfully kept the crowd engaged throughout the day.
We were joined by American Dance Movement’s Co-Founders, Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman. Nigel kicked off the day’s festivities and Adam joined in for the National Dance Day performance, which was taught to the crowd by Comfort Fedoke from SYTYCD. We were also honored to have actress, dancer and ADM board member Jenna Elfman join us and perform the NDD routine. Another member of our Tremaine family, Lynn Givens, has been behind the scenes producing our Tremaine Gala for years and was honored to serve as one of the event producers for the National Dance Day California event, as well.
Congratulations to Nigel, Adam and the American Dance Movement on another successful National Dance Day.
Thank you to all the beautiful dancers who joined in to celebrate and spread the joy of dance!
