BIO JULY 2016
Being a Tremaine Dancer of the Year has been one of the best experiences of my life. I have grown as a dancer and person with the support of the Tremaine faculty and family. This year truly inspired me to push my limits and go beyond what I thought I could do. I have learned to show confidence and became a better performer throughout this journey. I am so thankful for this incredible opportunity during the 35th Anniversary Tour and want to thank Joe Tremaine and all the Tremaine Faculty for making it so special.
BIO AUGUST 2015
My name is Caitlyn Moyer. I am from Madison, Wisconsin. I am currently a junior in High School. I started dancing at the age of three at West Side Performing Arts, owned by Ms. Sharon Butler. At age 13 my studio closed, and Synergy Dance Academy, owned by Ms. Kari Fisher, opened where I continue my training in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and pointe. This past year I also started aerial silks lessons. I love trying new things to expand my skills and training!
My family is very supportive of my dancing and I am so grateful for them. I am so thankful for all the opportunities my parents have given me to help make my dreams reality. Also my 2 brothers, Bryce and Bobby, and my sister, Callie, have always encouraged me to do my best. Bryce and Callie are dancers as well. Bryce was Senior Male DOTY 2013-2014. He has pushed me beyond my limits from day one, and I couldn't have made it this far without him inspiring me. I love being able to have a strong connection with my siblings through dance. I want to thank my family for always believing in me!
I also want to thank my amazing teachers: Misty McGettigan, Rachel Blum, Allison Bowes, Vicki Keilhauer, Christi Andringa, Joey Hernandez, and Sarah Zeisser! Thank you for always pushing me to my fullest potential and giving me all the dance knowledge I need to succeed! I am truly blessed to have you all as teachers!
When I was 8 years old, I joined the competition team at my studio. I attended my first Tremaine Dance Convention and Competition at 7, and loved every second of it! I felt from the very first class that I belonged in the Tremaine family. When I was 12 I auditioned, and was fortunate enough to be accepted to the Tremaine Performance Program. Auditioning was the best decision I have ever made! This will be my 5th year training with the amazing faculty here. I grow as a dancer and as a person every time I attended a Tremaine convention, and I am so grateful to be a part of this inspiring Tremaine Family!
I want to give a HUGE thank you to the legend Joe Tremaine and all the Tremaine faculty for giving me this amazing opportunity to represent Tremaine as 2015-2016 Senior Female Dancer of the Year. I am truly honored and blessed for all you have done for me! I am looking forward to working with the talented faculty this year and to begin this new journey! Thank you so much!
