Amyclae Dance Academy

Teacher(s) Tina Singer

It was such an amazing honor to be Junior Male DOTY this year.  Working with the Tremaine faculty has been an experience of a lifetime.  I’d like to thank Mr. Joe Tremaine, the Tremaine faculty and staff, and my family for making this the best year of my life!

Hi! My name is TJ. I am 11 yrs old and in the 6th grade. I live in Virginia but I was born in California. I started dancing when I was 5 yrs old at Amyclae Dance Academy.  I decided to start dancing because my mom owns a dance studio and I wanted to see what all the hype was about. After I took my 1st dance class I fell in love with it and I have been dancing ever since. I take classes in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theater.

I like to play baseball, basketball, football and study sports statistics. Dance has helped me so much with my sports activities! In my free time I like to freestyle, ride roller coasters, play video games with my little brother and hang out with my family and friends.

I went to my first Tremaine when I was 6 yrs old. I loved it so much I went to another Tremaine that year. A Tremaine teacher asked a DOTY to demonstrate on stage and he was amazing! Ever since that day I have dreamed about being a DOTY.  I am so excited for this year and for the opportunity Joe Tremaine has given me.

I’d like to thank Joe Tremaine and the Tremaine Staff for being such a big part of my life. I’d also like to thank my family, teachers and friends for all of the love and support they give me.
