Teacher(s) Sheila Milner

Tremaine has helped me grow as a dancer and a person. I have been going to Tremaine ever since I can remember, and never fail to learn something new! Everyone is so nice and friendly, and I have made so many new friends.  The Tremaine Faculty is amazing! The Tremaine Faculty pushed me beyond my comfort zone and I am so thankful for what they have taught me. Being DOTY is an experience I will never forget and forever be grateful for.

Hello! My name is Lior, and I am 9 years old. I live in Texas, but come from a family that is originally from Russia. With my older sister being a dancer as well, I have been surrounded by dance since before I could speak. By the age of 3, I began taking classes and competing with my studio, Dancezone. I dance at least 4 times a week and train in styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, and hip hop. When I’m not dancing, I love playing all kinds of sports, basketball being my favorite. I also take martial arts and am working towards my black belt.

Aside from just taking classes at the studio, I love turning music on in my room and just free styling. In fact, free styling is what motivated my mom to put me in dance classes. Whenever I would go to the dance studio to watch my sister, I would hear the music and just break out into dance. My teacher, Sheila Milner, and all of the other teachers that have trained me at Dancezone, have always pushed me hard and have never given up on me. They continue to make my passion for dance grow everyday, and I thank them very much for that. My family inspires me to keep dancing. My sister always helps me before performances and when training at the studio, and my mom will never miss a second of my dancing. Their support always reminds me to never give up.

I began doing conventions at the age of 5, and when I first attended Tremaine, I fell in love with it. Since discovering Tremaine, I have tried to go to as many of their cities as I can. It is by far my favorite dance convention! I am so excited for the opportunity to represent Tremaine as Junior Male Dancer of the Year. I know it will help me grow as a dancer, and I hope I can make the faculty very proud. This year with Tremaine is going to be amazing, and I can’t wait for it to start. Thank you very much, Mr. Joe Tremaine, and the faculty, for this opportunity.  You are allowing me to follow my dream as a dancer and that is the biggest gift anybody with a strong passion for anything can ask for!
