Dance Workshop

BIO 2005:

Hi, I’m Sean, the Jr. Male Dancer of the Year 2003-04. I started dancing in 1999 when I was six years old, when my sister Xuxa inspired me. In November 2001, I had the opportunity to perform in The Nutcracker with the Irving Ballet Company playing the roles of Fritz, the Prince and the Nutcracker; it was a great experience! I am currently a Dance Company Member at Dance Industry Performing Arts Center in Plano, TX, under the direction of Christy Wolverton. I like it a lot! I’m working hard and taking about 20 hours of dance every week. I have also been awarded several scholarships and Regional Titles during the past year. I admire, respect and love my parents and my sister who have supported me in dance completely. I also like to dance because it is FUN!!!!!!!! I am dancing all day long, even during the commercial breaks of my favorite TV shows - practice, practice, practice!!! Thinking happy thoughts helps me stay focused. Remember, always go into auditions with a big smile and a positive attitude and dance like nobody is watching you! Being a Tremaine DOTY has been one of the most exciting and motivating learning experiences I ever had. You make new friends in every city, the conventions are fun and you learn a lot. I had the privilege to assist and learn from a great group of teachers/choreographers that are part of the Tremaine family, an experience that will last a life time . . . Thank you!
