Academy of Dance Arts

BIO 2005:

After relinquishing my title at Nationals, I spent the last few days of that summer recovering from a back injury, then I danced at the Jazz Dance World Congress in Costa Rica, and preparing to dance in the Dallas Dance Festival with the Dallas Repertoire Ballet. Since then I have continued high school at J. J. Pearce High School and become a member of the National Honor Society. I auditioned for our company’s “Nutcracker” and danced the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy. I have also guest performed with Daniel Catanach’s Urban Ballet Theater from NYC and continue to stand as a Principle member of the Dallas Repertoire Ballet. I’m also very proud to say that our studio was the featured article in April’s issue of Dance Teacher Magazine. I have received many scholarships including ones to Broadway Dance Center, Peridance, and STEPS. I was able to travel with our company to Austria to perform in the Young Tanzsommer Dance Festival. In addition to attending our annual intensive, I will also teach at and co-direct a dance workshop for young children. I look forward to continuing to be a part of the Tremaine organization as a member of the Teen Performance Company.
