HALEY HELLMAN

Sheffield School of Dance

2010 BIO:
Since my reign as Senior Female DOTY 2001-02 ended, I moved to Los Angeles, CA, to begin my career in the industry. I booked my first job with Stiletto Entertainment, the Production Company for Holland America Cruise Lines. I completed two 6-month contracts with Holland America Cruise Lines on the MS.VEENDAM. I also worked for Disney Entertainment in Tokyo, Japan, as a Lead Dancer in a show called “Encore” performed at the Broadway Music Theatre in the Tokyo Disney Resort. While in Japan I also appeared as a featured dancer in a Disney Special Event show which aired on the NHK network. In October 2006, I completed an amazing contract with Radio City Music Hall as a dancer in the Christmas Spectacular Show starring the Rockette's on tour in Chicago and Boston. Since completing my first contract I have also performed the show in Des Moines, St. Louis, Atlanta, and Dallas. I am currently going on my fifth season with Radio City Music Hall and will be performing the Radio City Christmas Spectacular show on tour in Ft. Myers, FL, Jacksonville, FL, and Austin, TX. I had the pleasure this year to choreograph the Alabama State Junior Miss Competition with a good friend Rebecca Carney Miller who was also a previous DOTY. When I'm not out working in the industry I enjoy teaching dance and sharing my passion with others. I have taught at Mobile Ballet, Sheffield's School of the Dance, and I am currently the competition director at Debbie's School of Dance in Mobile, AL. On August 2009, I married my wonderful husband Ryan Genry. I appreciate the unconditional love and support he constantly gives me to follow my dreams. I would like to thank everybody at Tremaine for giving me the opportunity to work with an incredible faculty. The experiences and memories I share with Tremaine Dance Conventions will last me a lifetime. Being able to represent Tremaine as a DOTY was truly an honor. Thank you, Joe, for all the support you've given me over the years. I am truly blessed to be part of the Tremaine family!
