Dear Chicago Attendees,
We are so grateful for your continued support of our Chicago event, and we look
forward to dancing with you during our 45th Season.
We wanted to update you that since last year’s event we have had many conversations with the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center about the untenable situation with the other event that we have shared space with over the last several years. The hotel has been very receptive and has engaged in positive discussions that have resulted in some meaningful solutions for our event on March 13-15, 2026, and beyond.
1. Yes, the other event will be sharing space with us again this year. However, the below will outline what the hotel has done to try and minimize the situation that we experienced last year.
2. The hotel has given the other event an additional 30,000 square feet of convention center space to use as their holding / rehearsal room. This is the space that was used by the Home & Garden show last year and should mitigate the use of the public hallways and foyer space around our event.
3. In addition, the hotel has informed the other event to provide adequate staffing to monitor their attendees in the public spaces. We do not have any details at this time but will continue to discuss with the hotel as we plan our event. With that said, we know we will have congestion near the concession area but feel that this will not impact our dressing room traffic because we will be entering the backstage area from the back of house stairwell as we did last year.
4. Lastly, starting in 2027, the hotel has ensured me that we will no longer share a weekend with the other group.
Despite all these efforts, we cannot guarantee that this will be a perfect situation but hope the above changes will make it a better scenario for all Tremaine attendees. We thank you for your patience and look forward to dancing with you this year.
