Zach Woodlee began dancing at his mother’s studio in Texas at a very young age, and at age 21 decided to make the move to Los Angeles to further his dance career. His first step in breaking into the local dance community was to join a scholarship program at the Performing Arts Center in Van Nuys. After completing this program, he began working as a dancer in television and film, then on to live performances for artists like LeeAnn Rimes. His growing list of credits included projects for Old Navy, the Teen Choice Awards, the movie Charlie’s Angels, and the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, to name a few. Zach then went on to travel the globe as the Dance Captain for Madonna’s Re-Invention World Tour. Upon returning home, he decided to begin his transition from dancer to choreographer, landing Assistant and Associate Choreographer positions on such projects as The 40 Year Old Virgin, Step Up, The Proposal and Hairspray. His television and film work led to choreography opportunities for the MTV Movie Awards, the television movie Starstruck, the CBS series How I Met Your Mother, as well as feature films including Eat Pray Love and Real Steel. Zach then became involved with the pilot for a high school based musical series, which went on to become the wildly successful FOX hit television series Glee, where he is currently the Choreographer and Co-Producer, as well as a mentor on The Glee Project.
