My name is Alexis Reese, but my friends call me Lexi. I am a rising 7th grader with a 4.0 GPA and a 2015 recipient of the President's Award For Educational Excellence.
I love all styles of dance and the studio is where I spend most of my time. I started dancing at the age of 3 and I currently take ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, pointe, musical theatre, & lyrical at The Meredith Gravely School of Dance. I have been a member of The Meredith Gravely Dance Company for the past three years under direct instruction of Katie Pruitt and Brittany Francis. They are such a big part of my life and I would not be where I am today without them.
No stranger to performing, I started scholarship pageants at the age of 4 and musical theatre productions at the age of 6, as I also enjoy singing. I believe in always showing passion, giving more than 100%, and being a positive role model while holding strong to my Christian faith. I also have a personal platform of preventing bullying and hope that through awareness, education and kindness, we will see a decrease in this growing issue.
I have attended Tremaine conventions for 4 years and love everything that they represent. I hope to become a professional dancer/performer and I am so grateful to Tremaine for giving me this amazing opportunity. It is a great honor to represent them as the 2016-17 Female Junior Dancer Of The Year. I hope to inspire other young dancers that they can accomplish their goals through hard work and perseverance.
