Sheffield School of Dance

BIO 2005:

I was born August 22, 1987, in Mobile, Alabama and have been dancing for thirteen years at Sheffield School of Dance. My first dance convention was at Tremaine in New Orleans when I was eight years old. From that point on, I knew that I wanted Joe and his amazing faculty to be a part of my life. My first Tremaine Nationals was in Orlando in 1995. My favorite style of dance is jazz although I love all styles of dance. Dance to me is a sense of escape from all of my hectic schoolwork and busy life. I will be a Senior in high school this year and I can’t wait. I am also involved in many clubs and am currently in the Who’s Who Among American High School Students. When not dancing, I’m spending time with my wonderful family at the beach or with my school friends at a football game. I would like to thank my family, friends, and especially my dance teacher, Mrs. Celi Shinn, for supporting me in getting this far. I cannot wait for this wonderful year as Senior Female Dancer of the Year to begin and hope to share it with all of you. Thank you Joe and the faculty for choosing me for this amazing opportunity and honor.
