Curtain Call Dance Academy

BIO 2005:

This past summer marked my tenth year of dance training and I plan to continue dancing for my current teacher, Bruce Campbell in Plainfield, Indiana, for several more years. I’ve also had the opportunity recently to work with Al Blackstone (Senior Male DOTY 2001-02). Al has choreographed all of my tap solos for the past two years. I still try to stay in touch with all the other dancers via e-mail. Since my term as DOTY, I have also been very active in school and play percussion in three of the school’s bands. I was a member of our school’s recent Academic Bowl team and have been inducted in the National Junior Honor Society. I also enjoyed playing baseball and golf on my eighth grade teams and I plan to play varsity golf this year as a freshman. My experiences as a DOTY helped me to become an overall better person and I met many new friends along the way. The instruction gave me more confidence in my dancing and performing skills and I still use the skills and techniques that I learned then, today.
