Never before has there been an artist who has been equally recognized, awarded and celebrated "in front of the camera" as well as "behind the camera," as is Paula Abdul.
 
In front of the camera, Paula’s extraordinary music career is exemplified by worldwide album sales exceeding 30 million records, two #1 Albums, six #1 Singles, a Grammy Award, seven MTV Awards, two Emmy Awards, two People’s Choice Awards and two Kid’s Choice Awards. Paula has also been honored with her very own Star on Hollywood Boulevard and was inducted into Nichelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Hall of Fame.
 
 
Currently, Paula is receiving acclaim as "the heart and soul" of the number one show on television, American Idol. Fox admits that as one of the celebrity judges on the record-breaking FOX series American Idol. Contestants and TV viewers alike have given Paula high praise for her positive feedback to the hopeful young singers.

Most recently, Paula has added a new title to her impressive resume - successful jewelry designer. Paula introduced her Paula Abdul Jewelry Collection on QVC in April to record-breaking sales and public acclaim.

Ingenues. Inscribed with inspirational words and symbols, her pieces reflect the encouraging spirit and endearing positive attitude Paula herself is known for. Working with QVC, Paula is now offering her signature designs to a nationwide audience. Her new collection consists of multiple charms, pendants, earrings and bracelets in a mix of textures and metals, many adorned with meaningful phrases.

"I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to watch so many talented artists follow their dreams and achieve things they never thought possible," says Paula. "I wanted to give a piece of that hopeful spirit back to the world with fashionable keepsakes that are both inspiring and stylish. Bringing this collection to the public is the realization of one of my own personal dreams and I am so excited."

Behind the camera, Paula is known as one of the most gifted and recognized choreographers in the industry of film, television, video, stage and live tours.

Her most highlighted work in choreography includes her Emmy-winning contributions to The Tracey Ullman Show, and Paula’s own performance as an artist opening the American Music Awards: as well as an Emmy nomination for choreographing the Academy Awards. Other highlights include her award winning work with Janet Jackson, with garnered two MTV Video Awards; and working with such musicians as Aretha Franklin, George Michael, Luther Vandross, INXS, Heart and Prince. Her favorite memory would be dancing along side her idol Gene Kelly in the Diet Coke commercial which was recently inducted into the Coca-Cola Hall of Fame Museum as one of the most award winning commercial campaigns.

Her choreography contributions in film include the Academy Award-winning American Beauty, working with Cuba Gooding, Jr. on his Academy Award-winning performance in Jerry McGuire, and transforming Val Kilmer into Jim Morrison in Oliver Stone’s The Doors. She also had a blast while working with Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall in the show-stopping African Wedding Dance scene in Coming to America.
 
Other notable films, actors and directors that Paula has worked with include Tom Hanks, Billy Crystal, Dan Aykroyd, Sally Field, Minnie Driver, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Kevin Spacey, Martin Lawrence, James L. Brooks, Sam Mendes, David Fincher, Joel Silver and John Landis.
 
With all of the awards she has received and opportunities her celebrity has extended her, Paula has never, ever forgotten her first "break" as a Los Angeles Laker Girl.
